The Ninth day (Navami) of Chaitra Masa Sukla paksha of Hindu calendar has been celebrated as Ram Navami. Though North Indians celebrate this day as birth day of Lord Rama, Telugu people love to perform Sita-Rama Kalyanam on this auspicious day. Lord Rama represents Knowledge and Maa Sita incarnates Devotion, the holy union of these two signifies the most fulfilling ways of life and consequently welfare of entire world.
